Dear LaLiberte Families:
Happy January! It’s been a busy week here at school getting started in the new year! We try to get outside every day we are able and some of those days are still pretty cold!!! Castleball Club is still rolling and is always accepting anyone who would like to join! We are continuing on every Tuesday in January from 4:30-5:30 at the Bridgewater Dome on the back field. The cost is $10 per session ($15 for siblings). Feel free to drop in anytime to play Castleball. The schedule for the Fun Run will be: - Grade 4: 9:40AM to 10:30AM - Grade 3: 11:00AM to 11:45AM - Grade 2: 12:40PM to 1:30PM Families are allowed to come and watch if they’d like, however, they should remain behind the fence of the football field. Only official Fun Run volunteers will be allowed on the field with classes! Reminder: Picture Day is Monday!! Reminder: Wednesday is a Half Day!! A Note from RAVE: Many times school personnel are asked to provide names and addresses of the students in their classroom because parents want to extend invitations for parties or make arrangements for play dates. While children are encouraged to make these connections with their classmates, school personnel cannot provide this information. Therefore, our R.A.V.E. Organization once again this year will compile, on a voluntary basis, the information which is requested by parents. If you would like to be included on this list, please complete the survey at this link by Tuesday, October 10th. R.A.V.E. Board of Directors member, Nicole Williams, will compile the information and a list will be sent to you for your child’s classroom. Please remember that providing the information is strictly on a voluntary basis. Submitting this survey means you give permission to share your information with your child’s class. Thank you. Happy Friday everyone! We have settled into our daily schedules and classrooms are up and running and already hard at work learning new information every day! We are finishing up our iReady diagnostic assessments and will be sharing student results with families soon. Smart Watches/Phones: We have noticed an increase in smart watches and phones coming into our classrooms. Please remember that our handbook states: Students are prohibited from using electronic devices (i.e. cell phones, Smart Watches, iPod, iPads, laser pointers, Kindles, cameras, and any device which can transmit/record either audio or video material). These devices must be turned off and stored during the school day, including during lunch and recess. Unauthorized use of such devices will result in immediate confiscation by any staff member and will be turned over to a school administrator. Such devices will ONLY BE RETURNED TO A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN. While we recognize the importance of the use of cell phones for families to stay in contact with each other, we request that the office phones be used instead for this purpose. Parents who wish to contact their child during the instructional day in emergency situations may do so by calling the school. Students will not be permitted to use electronic devices with them on field trips unless authorized to do so (e.g. iPod touches, cell phones, ipads, video game players, etc.) Meet our School Counselors!
