We hope you might take time to enjoy the upcoming, awe-inspiring celestial event on Monday, April 8th - a solar eclipse! We are pleased to support RaynWater STEAM’s solar eclipse watch party on Monday, April 8th, by offering an early dismissal opportunity on this day to attend their solar eclipse watch party. The watch party will take place outdoors at the Bettencourt Field (the field between Merrill and LaLiberte) from 2:30pm-4:00pm. (The eclipse begins around 2:30pm and reaches its maximum coverage of 91% around 3:30pm). Families can drop into the event at any time, including after the school day ends.

Please return the dismissal notice your child received to their teacher if you have not already done so to ensure we have a smooth early dismissal process. All children at the LaLiberte School will be provided free solar eclipse viewing glasses, compliments of the LPO, to ensure safe viewing opportunities at the watch party or at home.

For the safety and security of all attending, please park at the Raynham Middle School side parking lot and walk to the LaLiberte School for early dismissal and to attend the watch party. There is NO PARKING AT THE SCHOOLS FOR THIS EVENT!

Happy Friday!  We've had a busy week here at LaLiberte welcoming families in for conferences, a fun evening with the LPO Bingo for Books and Scholastic Book Fair!

Students will be bringing home a permission slip regarding MassHealth (Medicaid) reimbursement. Local communities in Massachusetts have been approved to receive partial reimbursement from MassHealth for the costs of certain health-related services provided by the district to your child.  Please read the information on the form sent home today and reach out with any questions. Send signed forms to your child’s teacher.

Book Fair: Huge thank you to Beth Alles and Kate Caron who helped set up the book fair from start to finish. In addition, we appreciate ALL the parent volunteers who helped our students shop during school hours. This could not have been such a success without all the help of you! 

Book Bingo Night: We had so much fun at Book Bingo Night this week! Thank you to our volunteers and all of our families who came! Congratulations to all who won!

Dear LaLiberte Families:
Another great week at LaLiberte!  Spring has certainly started to appear and we have loved getting outside quite a bit!  This week students in grade 2 were visited by a dental hygienist and learned all about teeth and how to care for them! 
Next week we will be inviting families to participate in Spring conferences. If you have not already booked a conference with your child’s teacher, please reach out to them directly! A reminder that next Wednesday will be a half day of school for the purpose of scheduling conferences!

RAVE's "Salute to our Veterans" Comedy Night Fundraiser 
Proceeds from this event will support RAVE's "Salute to our Veterans" efforts including sponsoring Raynham's Annual Memorial Day Parade, purchasing and maintaining flags and flagpoles used to decorate the center of Town for our patriotic holidays, and sponsoring Veterans Day assemblies and programs in our Raynham Schools.

Place:  American Legion Post #405, 291 Mill St., Raynham (Use King Phillip St. side of Mill St. due to detour)
Tickets:  $25 each

Dear LaLiberte Families:
What a great week we’ve had! Our whole school participated in activities for Read Across America Week. We held a “Masked Reader” contest where students were shown brief videos of staff reading a snippet of a favorite book while hiding their identity. Students had to match the mystery reader with one of the teachers. It was the talk of the school each day! Today was the grand reveal of all the mystery readers!  We also had local volunteers come in to read to classes on Wednesday with RAVE volunteers!

It’s hard to believe that we are already in March! Spring is just around the corner!! Next week students will be enjoying our “Masked Reader” for Read Across America as well as some guest readers joining us on March 6!
Castleball Club will be returning starting Tuesday, March 5th! Anyone is welcome to come join the fun at the Bridgewater Dome. We will be playing from 4:30-5:30 on field #4 every Tuesday in March. If you would like more information please email Mr. Connor at [email protected].

RAVE's "Salute to our Veterans" Comedy Night Fundraiser is 3 weeks away!  This popular event will feature some of Boston's favorite professional headliners, including Harrison Stebbins, Dan Miller, and Raynham's own, Sean Sullivan! 
Proceeds from this event will support RAVE's "Salute to our Veterans" efforts including sponsoring Raynham's Annual Memorial Day Parade, purchasing and maintaining flags and flagpoles used to decorate the center of Town for our patriotic holidays, and sponsoring Veterans Day assemblies and programs in our Raynham Schools. 
Don't miss your chance to laugh along with the biggest and best of Boston area comedy! Tickets always sell out for this fun adult night out!  You don't have to travel far, as it will be held right here in Raynham!  The event will feature fantastic comedy and an amazing raffle table along with a 50/50 raffle.  A cash bar will be available, and light snacks will be provided, however feel free to bring your own.

Yearbook: Yearbook Sales are open!! ​
Go to www.coffeepond.com.  Click on the Order Yearbooks button.  Enter the password and select online order and continue. Enter the child’s name & grade and the book quantity.  Enter your email under contact and select add to cart.  If you have another child to order for, please select the order for another child. If not, you can finish checking out.

This Past Week: Our 4th Grade Students had a visit from Storyteller Len Cabral and our 2nd grade students received a visit from BSU's Earth Globe! Next Month 3rd Grade students will receive a visit from The Whale Mobile.
