I hope you had a nice weekend. Here is our weekly information:

  • Last Friday, third grade students enjoyed a Space Race Program. This was an enrichment activity sponsored by the LPO and facilitated by Bridgewater State University.

    • Wednesday, March 25th from 1:00 - 3:30 pm
  • A Message from Raynwater STEAM:
    • Parents, is your child into STEM, art, crafting, or making cool stuff? Do they have a special skill or talent that they could teach others how to do? Help them apply to be a seller or peer-teacher at Innovate! A Student Marketplace, where students design products or lessons and sell them to other children at a market. This is a great opportunity for building confidence, sharing creativity, and engaging in real-world experience. The Marketplace happens May 9th at the Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School. Applications for children in grades 3-12 to be a seller or peer-teacher are open now and due on March 16th. More information and registration for information sessions can be found on the RaynWater STEAM website: (not affiliated with BRRSD) https://sites.google.com/view/raynwatersteam/innovate-student-marketplace
  • Chartwells Food - In an effort to improve food services, our vendor, Cartwells, is asking parents and students to complete a brief food survey. You will find the link below. Thank you for your help!  The survey will run through March 27th.
    • Student Survey Link
    • Parent Survey Link
  • Arrival and Dismissal - I continue to ask for everyone’s patience and understanding during our arrival and dismissal time each day. I understand that there is a lot of traffic and everyone needs to drop off their child at school to start their day, but beeping horns and angry gestures will not make the traffic move any quicker. Our main concern is the safety of our staff and students. I thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Have a great week!!!  As always, please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
All my best,
Deb Westell, Principal

  • Yearbooks: Don’t forget to order your yearbook now! Deadline to place orders is April 22nd. Go to coffee pond.com and use password LAL2526. We are still accepting photo submissions for the yearbook until the end of February.
  • A message from RaynWater STEAM: Parents, is your child into STEM, art, crafting, or making cool stuff? Do they have a special skill or talent that they could teach others how to do? Help them apply to be a seller or peer-teacher at Innovate! A Student Marketplace, where students design products or lessons and sell them to other children at a market. • Given the big mounds of snow in the parking lot, I strongly recommend for parents to use their car in the parent drop off line rather than parking at the top parking lot and walking their child to the building. Using the car drop line is much safer than having students walking in the parking lot. I  thank you for your assistance.
  • I ask for everyone’s patience while navigating the parking lot during school arrival and dismissal times. The safety of our students and staff is always our first priority.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our custodial and maintenance staff for their hard work in clearing the school parking lot and walkways after the blizzard. They worked very hard all week and we truly appreciate all that they accomplished under difficult circumstances.

Have a great week. As always, please reach out to me if you have any questions.
All my best,
Deb Westell, Principal

Dear Parents and Guardians,
As the weather turns colder and students begin wearing hats, scarves, and other winter gear, we want to take a moment to remind everyone about head lice prevention. While lice are not dangerous, they are certainly inconvenient, and taking a few simple precautions can help reduce their spread.
What parents can do:
  • Avoid sharing personal items such as hats, brushes, combs, hair accessories, and headphones.
  • Check your child’s head regularly, especially around the ears and at the nape of the neck.
  • Encourage long hair to be worn up in braids, buns, or ponytails.
  • Remind your child not to have head-to-head contact during play or photos.
  • Notify the school nurse if you discover lice or nits so we can discreetly support your family and monitor for additional cases.
Our goal is to minimize outbreaks while keeping students comfortable, healthy, and uninterrupted in their learning. If you have any questions or need guidance on checking for or treating lice, please feel free to reach out.
Thank you for your cooperation and support!
