Next week brings some fun events like CAST (Children and Seniors Together) week with our RAVE volunteers, 4th grade Pen Pal visits, some classroom showcase events and our favorite…FIELD DAY!!! We’ve had a busy week with Grade 4 attending field trips to the Lloyd Center and having to make a weather-related adjustment to a Grade 2 field trip!. Classes have also been starting to take their final iReady diagnostic tests in both reading and math. Once those are completed a parent report will be sent home. Next week brings more field trip fun, our Senior Stroll and Grade 4 has the chance to experience the Earthview Globe! We hope you enjoy the long weekend! Holly R. Bridgewater-Raynham Sports "R" Fun Camp is Back! What is Sports "R" Fun camp? This is a multisports camp held every summer for students in grades 2-8 for three weeks (Monday-Friday) at the Bridgewater Middle School. We typically have activities involving basketball, baseball/softball, tennis, floor hockey, soccer, and other fun games and activities to keep the kids moving! Drop off starts at 8:30 each day and pickup is at 2:00. For even more details or to register please feel free to reach out to Patrick Connor. It will then turn onto King Philip Street and conclude at Gazebo Park. Commemorative ceremony to follow the parade at 11:15am at the Gazebo. We wrapped up our MCAS assessments today! Your 3rd and 4th grade students deserve a nice rest this weekend after working so hard on these assessments! We finished up a week of hard work here at LaLiberte with students in grades 3 and 4 taking the ELA MCAS assessment. They worked so hard and deserve a little celebrating this weekend! All MCAS make-up tests are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday of next week. It looks to be a beautiful day on Monday, April 8th, for the solar eclipse! The solar eclipse watch party hosted by RaynWater STEAM begins at 2:30pm on Bettencourt Field, between the Merrill and LaLiberte Schools. Please bring picnic blankets or beach towels to sit on. NO pets are allowed at the event. All children must be supervised by an adult. You may drop into the event at any time between 2:30-4:00 pm. Parents arriving to dismiss students, please form a line at the back door of the gym closest to the playground. You will enter the gym and show an ID to sign students out. Exit the gym at the door closest to the front of the building and driveway. Your child will receive solar eclipse glasses at school on Monday to bring home with them. Attached to this email is safety information about viewing the eclipse. eclipse viewing safety (1).pdf IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION: Participants at the Raynham Solar Eclipse Watch Party at Bettencourt Field should use the Raynham Middle School side parking lot. To park in this lot, use the side access road only to avoid RMS dismissal traffic. Do NOT use the RMS main parking lots or roads between 2:00 pm and 2:45pm. There should be NO parking on Darrington Drive or Titicut Road. If the school lots fill, parking can take place in the Pleasant Field neighborhood, which begins on Michael Road. Please note that participants parked illegally may be towed or fined. Please do not block entrances to driveways, businesses, schools, or other entities. It is essential that emergency vehicles be able to pass through easily. As the areas around the watch party will be busy, please watch for pedestrians while driving. Please return the dismissal notice your child received to their teacher if you have not already done so to ensure we have a smooth early dismissal process. All children at the LaLiberte School will be provided free solar eclipse viewing glasses, compliments of the LPO, to ensure safe viewing opportunities at the watch party or at home.
